Lil Tjay’s rep issues statement addressing rumours amid Offset shooting probe

Lil Tjay’s lawyer responded to claims about the 24-year-old artist’s involvement in the incident
Lil Tjay was not involved in the shooting that left rapper Offset injured near a Florida casino, according to a statement issued by his legal representative.
Writing on social media, Lil Tjay’s lawyer, Dawn Florio, rejected claims linking the 24-year-old artist to the incident and confirmed that he has not been charged. The statement addressed speculation that circulated online following reports of the shooting.
“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which resulting in non-life threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos,” Florio wrote in a message shared on Instagram, as reported by Alex Ocho.
She added, “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”
The clarification follows the circulation of a video online that allegedly showed the aftermath of the shooting, fuelling speculation about Lil Tjay’s involvement. The incident occurred on Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
According to TMZ, Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries in the shooting. The outlet reported that the rapper had been interacting with fans shortly before the incident. He is said to be in stable condition.
Police from the Seminole Police Department confirmed that an injured individual was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
