King Charles makes historic decision in Australia after untoward incident

Buckingham Palace has released a new video as King Charles III made history in Australia with his decision as tension rises during his trip.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are the first members of the royal family who have been able to formally acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans at this new memorial.

The Royal family’s social media accounts have shared the emotional video of the King and Queen wit a statement.

Palace wrote: “We remember the service and sacrifice of all Australians who have died during war.”

“Their Majesties are the first members of the Royal Family who have been able to formally acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans at this new memorial.”

The statement continues: “Since 1941, when the @AWMemorial was built, almost every royal visit to Australia, has featured a formal wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Solider.

“The King and Queen had a moment of reflection at the ‘For our Country’ Memorial to acknowledge the deep connection that First Nation Australians have with their land and the role they continue to play in defending it.”

The statement and video were released after an Australian lawmaker interrupted the end of King Charles’ speech in Australia’s parliament.
