Gold prices rise again, silver declines

local markets also witnessed an increase, with the price of gold per tola rising by Rs1, 100 to Rs491, 462.

KARACHI: The gold prices increased on the first trading day of the week in both international and domestic markets, while silver prices recorded a decline.

In the global bullion market, the price of gold per ounce rose by $11, reaching $4,687.

Following the upward trend internationally, local bullion markets also witnessed an increase, with the price of gold per tola rising by Rs1, 100 to Rs491, 462.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs943, settling at Rs421, 349.

In contrast, silver prices moved downward. The price of silver per tola decreased by Rs50 to Rs7, 744, while the rate for 10 grams of silver fell by Rs43 to Rs6, 639.
