Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Dubai to Peshawar made an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction.
According to aviation sources, the issue occurred immediately after Flight PK 284 took off. Following instructions from Dubai air traffic control, the aircraft landed back after around 40 minutes.
Sources indicate that passengers have been deplaned and moved to the lounge while the aircraft is being inspected.
The flight was scheduled to reach Peshawar at 9 AM this morning.
A PIA spokesperson stated that the technical issue with the aircraft at Dubai Airport is being addressed, and Flight PK 284 is now expected to reach Peshawar by around 1:30 pm PST.
Administrative Issues, six flights Canceled, another 12 delayed
Meanwhile, due to administrative issues, six flights from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad have been canceled, while twelve others are facing delays.
According to the flight schedule, PIA’s flight PK 832 from Karachi to Jeddah, and two private airline flights PF 125 and PF 126 from Islamabad to Karachi have been canceled.
PIA’s flight PF 723 from Lahore to Dubai and flight PK 261 from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi have also been canceled.
International flights from Istanbul to Karachi experienced delays of nearly 4 hours.
Flight PK 300 from Islamabad to Karachi was delayed by 1 hour, and Flight PK 302 from Karachi to Lahore faced a delay of 4.5 hours.
Flight PK 368 from Islamabad to Karachi was delayed by 6 hours, and Flight PK 303 from Lahore to Karachi was delayed by 4.5 hours.
