Drake’s rep addresses claims he is the father of Keshia Chanté’s baby after her pregnancy announcement
The Canadian singer recently revealed she is seven months pregnant with a baby boy
Drake’s representative has denied speculation that the rapper is the father of Keshia Chanté’s unborn child after the Canadian singer announced her pregnancy.
The representative addressed the rumours on October 6 after Chanté revealed she is seven months pregnant with a baby boy. The singer has not publicly identified the father.
“It’s false,” Drake’s spokesperson confirmed to People when asked about the speculation.
Chanté, 38, previously dated Drake and has been linked to the inspiration behind the “Kiki, do you love me?” line from his 2018 hit “In My Feelings”.
She told Hello! Canada that she is currently unavailable, adding that the father of her child was ready to start a family.
“I’m very free-spirited, and whatever the universe wants for me, I’ll have,” she said. “But he said he was ready. He set up the play and he nailed it! God bless him.”
In her pregnancy announcement, Chanté wrote, “Mommy & Daddy are so excited to welcome you into the world. 🤍 Oh, and we’ve already got you booked & busy. Dada’s got your studio locked and we expect your album to drop summer 2027. 🤣🎶”
Drake is already a father to 8-year-old Adonis, whom he shares with French artist Sophie Brussaux. He confirmed his fatherhood on his 2018 track “March 14”.
Drake and Chanté have remained connected publicly over the years. During his 2022 OVO Fest, Drake introduced her as “my first girlfriend” and described her as “somebody I love with all my heart”.
