Megan Thee Stallion breaks silence on Klay Thompson split: ‘I’m in shock still’

Megan Thee Stallion has revealed that her split from Klay Thompson was “so abrupt.” 

The 31-year-old rapper opened up about her high-profile breakup with the NBA player during an interview with Marie Claire.

When asked about her heartbreak, Megan responded, “I’m not pretending I’m 100 percent okay.”

“I ain’t never been through nothing like that in my whole life,” she continued. “I’ve never, ever, ever been in a relationship like that, ever. So I’m definitely not worried about another one for a long time.”

“It was so abrupt. I’m in shock still,” the Grammy-winning rapper said of his breakup.

Megan then explained why she feels better after parting ways with Klay.

When something is meant for you, it’s gonna be easy. It’s gonna be right,” she said. “It’s not gonna feel like a panic all the time. I feel like that’s what I was in, constantly on edge.”

“My nervous system needed to calm down. I feel like I was in a panic 24/7. I’m still not eating all the way right. I’m feeling all the feelings. I’m not trying to take no shortcuts,” the songstress added.

For those unaware, Megan and Klay called it quits in April 2026 after less than a year of dating.
