‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ earns $3.8m in previews ahead of re-release

Avengers: Endgame Encore has earned $3.8 million from Thursday previews ahead of its theatrical re-release, bringing Marvel Studios’ blockbuster back to cinemas ahead of Avengers: Doomsday.

The preview performance puts Avengers: Endgame Encore among the weekend’s major new releases. Robert Pattinson’s Primetime, another new theatrical release, earned $2.7 million from previews.
The Endgame encore also comes with Marvel’s new Infinity Vision presentation for selected premium large-format cinemas. The format is intended to provide audiences with larger screens, laser projection and premium sound for the theatrical experience.
The re-release arrives as anticipation builds for Avengers: Doomsday. The upcoming film has already generated strong interest through ticket sales, with Disney reporting more than $1 million in Australian presales during its first 24 hours.
Avengers: Endgame originally became one of the highest-grossing films in box office history, and its return gives Marvel fans another opportunity to revisit the conclusion of the Infinity Saga while preparing for the next major Avengers film.
