Chris Rock is reflecting on his infamous clash with Will Smith at the Oscars in 2022.

For those unversed, the comedian, 61, was struck by Will, 57, at the 2022 Academy Awards after he made a joke about the actor’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Chris now insists that he’s moved on from the controversy involving Will, as it is “not that important.”

“I wish nothing would have happened,” the stand-up star told Variety.

He further said, “It’s a crazy world. We walk by homeless people. There’s all sorts of s*** going on right now. “

“Me having a bad day is not the biggest — it’s not that important,” Chris added.

The comedian also holds a philosophical view regarding his success in life.

“Showbiz has been very, very good to me,” Chris explained. “In a world where we have trillionaires, I don’t have that much money. But my dad got sick when I was poor, and my mother got sick when I had some money. Dad’s dead. My mom’s doing great.”

“You know what I mean? It’s literally that simple. So I’m good. I’m really good,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention that Will resigned from the Academy after slapping Chris during the 2022 Oscars ceremony.
