‘Friday the 13th’ screenwriter Victor Miller passes away at 86

Victor Miller, the screenwriter behind the classic horror Friday the 13th, has passed away. He was 86.

The American writer’s death was announced by his son Ian on social media. According to him, Victor breathed his last on Monday, August 31, in Alameda, California.

“Yesterday my father, Victor Miller, went to his final reward,” Victor’s son penned on Instagram. “He was almost always the smartest, funniest person in whatever room he was in. “

“He inspired in me, and many others, a love of photography, music and storytelling,” he continued.

Lan further shared, “He is survived by his wife, two sons, and his grandson. He had a helluva run and will be missed dearly.”

Concluding the emotional tribute, Victor’s son added, “For those who are interested, we will hold a celebration of life in November — on Friday the 13th, of course.”
