Jacob Elordi dismisses speculations about his James Bond role

Jacob Elordi has dodged a question about his audition for the role of James Bond.

The 29-year-old Australian actor attended the world premiere of his forthcoming film The Dog Stars at the Odeon Luxe cinema in London on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The Ridley Scott-directed film has a starry cast, including Margaret Qualley, Benedict Wong, and others.

Variety caught Elordi at the event, where he shared his experience of working with Scott, the legendary director, who premiered his movie Gladiator 2 at the same place in 2024.

Expressing his reverence for the 88-year-old English filmmaker, he called him “the king of movies” and admitted that collaborating with him was “such a treat — a dream come true.”

“I don’t think I’ll ever have an experience like that. Yeah. He’s one of a kind and he’s a pioneer of of modern cinema,” the Euphoria star claimed.

When Elordi was asked whether he would audition to play the James Bond role, as casting for the coveted role is still underway, he smartly evaded the question.

The Wuthering Heights star responded to the question with a smile, “I’m here on holiday.”

It is pertinent to mention that Jacob Elordi has not yet confirmed whether he would be the next 007; however, fans can look forward to enjoying his portrayal of Hig in The Dog Stars, which is scheduled to be released on August 28, 2026. Watch the trailer here.
