Madelyn Cline confesses to ‘difficult’ time working with Chase Stokes after split

Madelyn Cline is letting fans in on how her experience was like working alongside her ex, Chase Stokes, after their breakup.

The 28-year-old actress, who starred alongside Stokes, 33, in the Netflix series Outer Banks, recently shared that “there were moments when it was difficult.” 

Despite this, she shared that the two eventually found a way to return to their original friendship.

“Once the dust kind of settled, we were able to just revert to the friendship that we always had. At some point, you look at each other and you’re like, ‘Are you ready to stop being miserable? Because I’m ready,'” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Cline also looked back on feeling overwhelming when she experienced sudden fame and career success early on.

“It’s like, here you go, here I am, on a silver platter. There’s no acclimation. No time wasted.”

Since their split, Cline has dated Jackson Guthy, Pete Davidson and influencer Henry Smith. Meanwhile, Stokes has been linked to Kelsea Ballerini since 2023.

The fifth and final season of Outer Banks is now streaming on Netflix.
