Mingora, Swat — In the mountain town of Mingora, tucked in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat Valley, a mobile repair parts business that started small has grown into one of Pakistan’s most recognized suppliers for the country’s mobile repair industry. SMZ Tools — formally known as Spogmai Mobile Parts & Tools — now ships mobile ICs, soldering equipment, charging flex cables, microscopes, and repair accessories to technicians and repair shops across all four provinces.
The company, led by CEO Waqas Rehman, has built its reputation over several years of steady, technician-first growth rather than aggressive expansion. Its product catalog has grown into the thousands, spanning categories from Mobile ICs & Chipsets and Soldering Stations to Microscopes & Thermal Cameras and Repair Tool Kits — the full toolkit a modern mobile repair shop needs under one roof.

“When we started, the goal was simple — give technicians access to genuine parts and tools without having to travel to a handful of big-city markets,” Waqas Rehman said. “Repair shops in smaller cities were often stuck paying inflated prices or working with substandard components because reliable supply just wasn’t reaching them. We wanted to fix that gap.”
That gap-filling approach has translated into scale. SMZ Tools says it now serves more than 5,000 repair professionals nationwide, with an online storefront at smztools.com that lets technicians browse and order IC chips, connectors, and tools from anywhere in the country, with delivery typically completed within two to five business days.
The company’s growth mirrors a broader shift in Pakistan’s mobile repair and GSM hardware sector, which has expanded rapidly alongside smartphone penetration across urban and semi-urban markets. As repair shops increasingly compete on turnaround time and part quality, reliable local suppliers like SMZ Tools have become an important link between international component sourcing and the technician on the ground.
Rehman says the company’s roadmap includes expanding its wholesale and bulk-order services for repair shop chains and distributors, alongside continued investment in its online ordering platform. “Our focus going forward is making sure a technician in a smaller city has the same access to quality tools as one working in Karachi or Lahore,” he said.

SMZ Tools operates out of Mingora, Swat, and delivers nationwide, with support available via WhatsApp and its official website.
