Perez Hilton’s family shares update on his health after self-harm incident

Perez Hilton’s family recently shared an update about his health two weeks after he tortured himself during a TikTok Live.

For those unaware, the 48-year-old American blogger, columnist, and media personality appeared to harm himself and was seen drenched in blood while he was doing a TikTok livestream from his residence in Miami on August 4, 2026.

Concerned authorities reached his home and treated him for lacerations and an overdose before he was rushed to the hospital, where he was admitted under Florida’s Baker Act, a state law that allows authorities to hold someone involuntarily for a period of time if they pose a threat of harm to themselves or others.

On Monday, August 17, Hilton’s family posted a message on his website, revealing that he is still hospitalized and continues to receive inpatient medical care.

The message read, “To everyone who has reached out, checked in, and kept Perez and our family in your thoughts, THANK YOU!”

“At this time, Perez remains hospitalized and is receiving the medical care he needs. His treatment is continuing in an inpatient setting under the care of a dedicated team of medical and mental health professionals,” the family shared.
