Leon Thomas III gets honest about The Romantic Tour with Bruno Mars
Leon Thomas III recently got candid and opened up about learning from Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak during their tour.
For those unaware, the 33-year-old American singer and songwriter served as a supporting opening act for Mars on his massive stadium run, The Romantic Tour, which launched on April 10, 2026, in Las Vegas.
Thomas expressed his feelings on how touring with Mars and .Paak helped him perform on stage while sitting down at the T-Mobile hospitality suite at Lollapalooza.
He said, “First of all, shout out to Bruno and Anderson .Paak for being really amazing friends. I didn’t really know these brothers that well going into the tour, but after that run we became a lot closer.”
“And I studied their shows. I would do my set, my 30 minutes, I would go shower up a little bit and then run out and sit by the engineer and just watch and take notes,” the Favorite crooner shared.
Thomas went on to sing praises of the Die with a Smile hitmaker by quipping, “Bruno is so meticulous. I watched his soundchecks go over one song 20 times to make sure that tiny detail was right, and I think that attention to detail turns into performances that are so memorable.”
He “learned a lot performing for crowds that big too” before his set at Lollapalooza.
“You have to really have a lot of broad movements, and I picked up a lot of what he was doing. I’m learning from his ability to be relatable up there as well,” Leon Thomas III said.
