Jennifer Garner opens up about starting from zero in an unexpected new chapter

Jennifer Graner is opening up about how starting her business a bit late in her career humbled her.

During a recent chat on Forbes Talks, the 13 Going on 30 star admitted that entering in entrepreneurial world made her learn new things from zero.

“I’m learning. This is all new to me. I’d never taken an econ class, a business class. I didn’t know how to read a spreadsheet. They still really overwhelm me, but I sure as heck love the process of being the student in the room, always,” Garner shared.

In 2017, Graner joined Once Upon a Farm which is an organic children’s food company. She is now cofounder of the company.

However, she does find positive sides of starting business late.

“I’m so grateful to be a grown-up in that room and not a kid because I think that I’d need to prove myself. I’d need to say, ‘This is how we should do this, or this is how this should run.’ And I’m blissfully not motivated by needing to be in charge,” Garner admitted.

The 54-year-old actress further noted that getting older has not dimmed her desire of taking a new challenge.

“It’s great to still feel hungry,” she added. “I’m still really hungry.”
