Jury selection in the Tupac Shakur murder trial is set to continue in Las Vegas on Wednesday, with another group of potential jurors expected to face questioning.
Fifteen new prospective jurors are due to arrive at the Regional Justice Center on the third day of the trial of Duane Davis.
Davis is charged with murder over the fatal shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur near the Las Vegas Strip in September 1996.
Prosecutors allege Davis helped organise the attack that killed the 25-year-old hip-hop star.
On Tuesday, prosecutors and Davis’s defence team individually questioned 21 prospective jurors.
Nine people were dismissed, while the remaining 12 advanced to the next stage of jury selection.
A total of 19 potential jurors have now moved forward and could begin the next round of questioning on Thursday.
The court is seeking to build an a initial pool of 36 prospective jurors before making the final selection.
That group will eventually be reduced to 16 people, consisting of 12 jurors who will decide the case and four alternates.
The trial comes nearly three decades after Shakur was shot while riding in a vehicle near the Las Vegas Strip. His killing became one of the most prominent unsolved cases in music history.
