Taylor Swift adds another history-making milestone to her legendary career
Taylor Swift, who already boasted a range of milestones in her career, just got another.
The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame has inducted the pop icon into its prestigious list, making her “the youngest musician ever to receive the honour”.
Announced during a livestream in the 2026 class, the group’s director Mark Ford read the statement of Swift on the honour.
In the message, Swift put a spotlight on her connection to Music City, a nickname for Nashville.
“From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be,” the Carolina singer said.
“I wanted to learn with and from the best and get to immerse myself in a community of storytellers, and thankfully, Nashville turned out to be exactly what I’d dreamed of.”
According to Swift, moving to Nashville “validated and prioritised hard work, determination and imagination”.
She also raved about writers, whom the singer said, “The writers show up to work every day even when the mysterious muses and the magic don’t.”
“To be honoured by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful,” the Grammy-winning singer said.
Swift, meanwhile, was inducted into the contemporary songwriter/artist category of the Nashville Hall of Fame.
