ISLAMABAD: From classrooms across Pakistan to future universities around the world, thousands of students are celebrating the results of their hard work as more than 100,000 candidates received their Cambridge International examination results for the June 2026 series.
The results, announced by Cambridge International, covered students from over 850 schools across Pakistan, highlighting the growing participation of Pakistani learners in globally recognised qualifications.
The candidates appeared in Cambridge International AS & A Level, O Level and IGCSE examinations, with subjects ranging from science and mathematics to business and technology.
Globally, nearly 368,000 students received their AS & A Level results, while Cambridge IGCSE and O Level results are scheduled to be announced on August 18 for more than 315,000 candidates worldwide.
In Pakistan, Physics, Mathematics, Business, Chemistry and Computer Science remained among the most popular subject choices, reflecting students’ growing interest in disciplines linked to higher education, innovation and future career opportunities.
Cambridge Group Managing Director for International Education Rod Smith congratulated students on their achievements, saying the continued growth of AS & A Level qualifications showed the importance of combining academic excellence with skills valued by universities and employers.
He said the increasing demand for Cambridge qualifications demonstrated their relevance in an era where artificial intelligence and rapid technological developments are transforming education and workplaces worldwide.
Cambridge International’s Country Director for Pakistan Uzma Yousuf also praised students for their determination and acknowledged the difficulties many candidates faced during their examination preparation.
“This has not been an ordinary year,” Yousuf said, noting that several students prepared for their examinations amid uncertainty, regional tensions and other challenges.
She said these circumstances made their achievements even more significant and encouraged students to recognise the dedication and effort behind their results.
Yousuf also appreciated the role of teachers, parents and school communities in supporting students throughout the academic year, saying their contribution remained essential to students’ success.
She added that Cambridge’s educational approach extends beyond examination scores by focusing on developing knowledge, confidence and practical skills that help students succeed in higher education, professional careers and everyday life.
Cambridge International said its AS & A Level qualifications are accepted by universities, organisations and government institutions worldwide, offering students opportunities to continue their academic journeys both locally and internationally.
The organisation also highlighted recent UCAS application data, which showed that 98% of Cambridge International A Level students who applied to UK universities during the 2025 admissions cycle received at least one offer.
Cambridge officials said the qualifications continue to prepare students for a rapidly changing world by equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to meet future academic and professional challenges.
