SEOUL: BTS member V surprised fans by revealing the creative idea behind the group’s changed “Today’s BTS” photos and later created another memorable moment during the band’s Boston concert by exchanging bandanas with a fan.
During a Weverse live session, V, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung, said the idea for BTS’ different photo style came from him. He explained that he wanted the group to move away from traditional lineup pictures and introduce more creative poses, unique framing and fresh concepts.
V said he wanted the photos to feel more artistic and suggested ideas inspired by comic books, giving fans a new way to experience BTS’ behind the scenes moments. The singer also thanked fans for respecting the group’s personal space outside official events and schedules.
Meanwhile, V created another special memory for fans during BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour stop at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Aug. 6.
During the concert, V noticed a fan sign that read, “Pretty Noonas who will buy you lobster rolls.” The playful message caught his attention and made him laugh before he approached the fans.

After seeing the sign, V removed his own bandana and handed it to the concertgoer. He then asked the fan for her bandana in return, creating a friendly exchange that quickly became a highlight among BTS fans, known as ARMY.
The moment gained extra attention because lobster rolls are a popular specialty in New England. The reference matched Boston’s local culture and was also meaningful because V had previously shown interest in trying the famous dish.
Fans praised the interaction online, saying the simple exchange turned a humorous concert sign into a personal connection between V and ARMY.
