Rosie O’Donnell has reportedly no plans to return to The View as a guest.
A representative for the comedian told Entertainment Weekly on Monday that Rosie has not been formally asked to appear on the show.
“There was a mention of inviting some of the hosts back to The View as a guest during season 30, [but] there has not been a formal ask from the show at this time,” a rep said.
The spokesperson further told the publication that current co-host Ana Navarro “mentioned [O’Donnell] coming to Season 30 of The View as a guest (at some point during the season),” but that “nothing has been formalized.”
This report follows Rosie’s statement on The Tangle with Kyle Ridley podcast that she has agreed to participate in the show’s 30th-anniversary celebrations.
“I will go on the 30th anniversary next year and be on in whatever way they want me, just as a guest. They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think, for the 30th season,” she said.
“I’m proud of that show and what it’s become and how it rally speaks to people and politics. And that’s not the case when I first joined,” added the former co-host.
For those unvesed, Rosie served as a co-host on ABC’s long-running daytime talk show during two separate runs, first from 2006 to 2007, and again from 2014 to 2015.
