Karachi Police is using modern technology to strengthen efforts against crime.
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Azad Khan visited the SITE Association of Industry, where he was accompanied by DIG South, DIG Traffic and other senior police officials.
He was welcomed by SITE Association Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala, President Abdul Rehman Foda, Patron Saleem Parakh, Vice President Muhammad Tahir Goricha, Javed Bilwani, former President Abdul Hadi and other members of the association.
Addressing the gathering, the Karachi police chief said the business community plays a vital role in Pakistan’s economic growth, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities. He said Karachi’s economic development is closely linked to law and order, adding that a safe business environment can only be ensured through close cooperation between industrialists and the police.
Azad Khan listened to the concerns of industrialists and directed the relevant police officials on the spot to take immediate steps to address issues related to security in industrial areas, the removal of encroachments, street crime and traffic management.
He said the Karachi Police is using modern technology, effective strategies and public cooperation to strengthen efforts against crime. He added that street crime and other criminal activities have declined significantly, while operations against terrorism, extortion and organized criminal elements are being further intensified.
At the end of the ceremony, the SITE Association of Industry presented commemorative shields to the Karachi police chief and other senior police officials. Azad Khan thanked the association’s office-bearers and members for their warm welcome, cooperation and continued support.
