Tom Cruise is reportedly leaning on his longtime friend David Beckham for his search for love.
Insiders have revealed to Radar Online that Cruise has struggled to find a lasting relationship on his own despite spending significant time in the U.K.
Now, the Mission: Impossible actor has turned to Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham, in hopes of meeting what insiders describe as an “English rose.”
The source said, “Tom’s spending more time in America but he’s still a rabid Anglophile. He loves every part of the culture, and he’d do anything to top that off by finding a leading English lady.”
Adding, “He’s been looking by himself for years but had no luck. That’s partly because he’s picky. Besides that, Tom just doesn’t have the opportunity to rub shoulders with the blue-blood types as often as he’d like.”
“He was throwing tea parties in Mayfair for a while and enjoyed some brief courtships, but nothing really stuck. Now he’s relying on David to put the word out and hook him up,” they shared further.
Tom Cruise and David Beckham have shared a friendship for years, with the actor recently paying tribute to the former England captain during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
It is pertinent to mention that the Oscar winner has largely kept his personal life out of the spotlight since his 2012 divorce from Katie Holmes.
