
Lucky Motors Corporation (LMC), one of Pakistan’s leading automobile manufacturers and distributors, has officially launched Chinese automotive giant GAC Motor in Pakistan, marking a major development in the country’s automotive industry as the local market embraces advanced electric vehicle (EV) technology.
As part of the launch, four new vehicles were introduced under GAC’s premium AION and HYPTEC brands, including the HYPTEC HT, known for its signature gullwing doors, along with the AION V, AION ES, and AION UT. The launch signals a significant step forward for Pakistan’s evolving mobility sector, bringing globally recognised electric and new energy vehicles (NEVs) into the local market.

According to the company, the newly launched models showcase GAC’s commitment to intelligent mobility, electrification, premium design, advanced safety technologies, and smart connectivity, highlighting a future-focused approach aimed at modernising transportation in Pakistan.
The launch follows an exclusive partnership agreement signed in March between Lucky Motors Corporation a subsidiary of Lucky Cement and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC). Under the agreement, Lucky Motors secured exclusive rights to introduce GAC’s new energy vehicle (NEV) brands in Pakistan, paving the way for long-term industrial and technological collaboration.
Speaking at the event, Muhammad Faisal, Chief Executive Officer of Lucky Motors Corporation, reflected on the company’s journey and growing contribution to Pakistan’s automotive sector. He discussed LMC’s long-term vision, manufacturing ambitions, and commitment to bringing globally competitive mobility solutions to Pakistani consumers.
He further described the collaboration between Lucky Motors and GAC as a strategic long-term partnership focused on innovation, technology, and future mobility, with the aim of transforming the local automotive landscape through advanced transportation solutions.
During the event, Muhammad Ali Tabba addressed participants on Pakistan’s broader economic outlook and stressed the importance of industrial growth, investment, and international partnerships in achieving sustainable economic progress.
He highlighted how global collaborations can strengthen Pakistan’s manufacturing capabilities and support the development of a stronger mobility ecosystem.
Meanwhile, Wei Haigang, President of GAC International, outlined the company’s global expansion strategy and growing international footprint through strategic alliances.
He also highlighted the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and China while sharing GAC’s plans for the Pakistani market, including technology collaboration and the introduction of advanced mobility solutions.
The launch event reflected the shared vision of Lucky Motors Corporation and GAC Motor to introduce a new era of premium, technologically advanced, and environmentally conscious mobility options in Pakistan.
