Singer Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are reportedly making key legal and financial preparations ahead of their expected wedding later this year, according to reports from Us Weekly and TMZ.
The couple, who have been linked since 2023, are reportedly set to marry on July 3 in New York City. A source told Us Weekly that the wedding timeline is “based on Travis’ offseason rhythm”, while insiders described the ceremony as traditional, featuring family-centred elements including a father-daughter dance and Swift’s father walking her down the aisle.
Attention has now turned to whether the pair will sign a prenuptial agreement before the wedding. According to Forbes, Swift’s net worth is estimated at around $2 billion, while reports estimate Kelce’s wealth at between $50 million and $90 million.
The reports stated that the couple could potentially file a prenup in several US states linked to their property holdings, including New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Kansas and Missouri. Swift owns homes in Rhode Island, New York and Tennessee, while Kelce reportedly owns properties in Kansas, Missouri and Florida.
TMZ reported that Rhode Island could be a favourable option due to laws protecting separate assets, while New York courts are known to scrutinise prenuptial agreements more closely.
The couple were recently seen attending Kansas City Chiefs player George Karlaftis’ wedding in Greece after spending time together in London, where they attended theatre performances and social events.
Earlier this year, Kelce publicly supported Swift during appearances linked to her ongoing projects, while Swift attended several NFL games during the past season.
