Red Lobster is turning off its ovens in its oldest-operating location in Tallahassee, Florida.
It appears fans are only saying one thing following the closing: endless shrimp.
It’s a $20 offer, which previously reportedly led the company into bankruptcy.
However, weeks ago it returned but with strings attached.
New CEO Damalo Adamolekun switched the initial ‘all-you-can-eat’ shrimps into a temporary offer.
With caveats including raising the prices from $20 to $24.99 and $29.99, varying on location.
The deal is strictly dine-in only; no leftovers for home.
The offer is not available on key holidays.
Social media ‘Endless Shrimp’ reactions are in
Several users on social media express their views in the wake of the closing of Rob Lobster in Tallahassee.
“I really miss my local Red Lobster that closed. Make Red Lobster Great Again,” one user wrote.
“Tbh, endless shrimp is the only reason to ever go to Red Lobster.”
“In dimly lit Red Lobster, waiting for my 12th order of endless shrimp while every waiter avoids eye contact,” a third user added.
