ISPR calls Indian COAS belligerent and narrow vision

RAWALPINI: Pakistan’s military media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) strongly reacted on Sunday to recent remarks made by India’s COAS.

ISPR said the statement showed what it called a “provocative and narrow mindset” and warned that such statements could drive South Asia toward conflict and instability.

ISPR said the Indian army chief made comments suggesting Pakistan should decide its place in geography and history.

The military rejected this statement and called it aggressive and unnecessary. Moreover, ISPR said Pakistan remains a strong and established country in the region. It added that Pakistan holds nuclear capability and continues to play an important role in South Asia.

In addition, ISPR said responsible nuclear countries focus on restraint and balance. It stressed that no country should use language that suggests elimination or destruction of another nation.

Pakistan rejects claims and narrative

ISPR also rejected what it described as negative claims about Pakistan. It said such statements ignore regional realities and long-standing historical facts. Furthermore, the military media wing said Pakistan remains a key regional player. It added that attempts to weaken its position do not reflect ground realities.

ISPR statement said that India’s leadership still struggles to accept the existence of Pakistan and has not learned from past history even after eight decades

Call for Peaceful coexistence

ISPR urged India to avoid actions or statements that could increase tensions. It said South Asia cannot afford another crisis or conflict. Additionally, it stressed that both countries must focus on peaceful coexistence. It warned that any escalation would have serious consequences for the entire region.

ISPR concluded that peace and stability remain essential for South Asia. It said dialogue and restraint offer the only path forward, while aggressive statements only increase risks for both sides.
