As Elijah Blue Allman is set to stand trial on June 16, sources revealed that Cher is ‘so down.’
The icon’s upcoming 80th birthday is said to have been ruined due to the stress over Elijah. A source told Radar Online, “Cher is beside herself with worry over Elijah.”
“She’s doing her best to keep positive and not get totally sucked down into the hell he’s created for himself, but it’s very hard,” they added.
Elijah is reportedly facing accusations that he caused a ruckus at a New Hampshire prep school. Notably, Cher also attempted to gain temporary conservatorship over Elijah, citing concerns about severe addiction and mental health struggles, but the request was denied in court.
However, his lawyer said, “Elijah is disappointed, but not surprised, by this latest attempt to gain control over his finances.”
The source also noted, “He’s clearly in a very bad way, and the worst part is he’s so angry with her. He’s made her the enemy. She’s only trying to get a conservatorship because she believes he will kill himself with drugs if she doesn’t step in, but he doesn’t see it that way. He’s vowed to tear her to shreds when he takes the stand for his trial.”
“He’s so angry he wants to use any platform he can to hit out at his mom,” they added.
Furthermore, Cher’s boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards is also said to be concerned with a source stating that he can’t even get a smile out of her as she has been “so down.”
