Pakistan rejects CBS report on Iranian aircraft at Nur Khan Airbase

Pakistan has strongly rejected a CBS news report alleging the presence of Iranian aircraft at Nur Khan Airbase, calling it misleading, speculative, and sensationalized.

Officials stated that such unverified narratives appear aimed at undermining ongoing efforts for regional peace, stability, and diplomatic engagement.

Authorities clarified that following the ceasefire and during the initial phase of the Islamabad talks aircraft from both Iran and the United States arrived in Pakistan to support the movement of diplomatic delegations, security teams, and administrative personnel involved in the negotiation process.

Some aircraft along with supporting staff, remained temporarily in the country in anticipation of further rounds of discussions.

While formal negotiations have not yet resumed diplomatic engagement at senior levels has continued. In this context, visits by Iran’s Foreign Minister to Islamabad were facilitated through established logistical and administrative arrangements.

Officials further emphasized that the Iranian aircraft currently stationed in Pakistan arrived during the ceasefire period and are not connected to any military activity, contingency planning, or strategic deployment. Any claims suggesting otherwise were described as unfounded, misleading, and inconsistent with factual circumstances.

Pakistan reiterated that it has consistently acted as an impartial, constructive, and responsible facilitator of dialogue and de-escalation in the region.

It added that logistical and administrative support has been provided as needed under routine procedures, with full transparency and coordination among all relevant stakeholders.
