Pakistan’s leading left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi achieved a major milestone in Test cricket by becoming the first Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

He reached this achievement during the first Test match against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Afridi made an early impact on the opening day by dismissing Bangladesh opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy.

With this wicket, Afridi also became part of a special group of bowlers in WTC history, as he is now the 19th player overall to reach 100 wickets in the tournament since it began.
