The government has announced a major increase in petroleum product prices for the public, while the Ministry of Petroleum has also issued an official notification in this regard.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs. 14.92 per litre, while diesel prices have been raised by Rs. 15 per litre.
After the increase, the new price of petrol has reached Rs. 414.78 per litre, while diesel has been fixed at Rs. 414.58 per litre.
The government has been reviewing petroleum prices every Friday night amid global oil market volatility linked to the Iran-Israel conflict.
