Teams gear up for crucial points in PSL 11 standings.
Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 will feature a special awareness initiative today, as two high-profile matches are scheduled today alongside the observance of “Golden Ribbon Day,” dedicated to raising awareness about childhood cancer.
In the first match, Quetta Gladiators will face Karachi Kings, while the second fixture will see Lahore Qalandars take on Peshawar Zalmi.
As part of the awareness campaign all players and officials will wear golden caps, symbolising support for children battling cancer. Peshawar Zalmi will also wear a special golden-themed kit during today’s match.
The PSL management has extended invitations to children who have survived cancer to attend and watch the matches live, aiming to make the occasion more meaningful and inspiring.
Fans and media have also been encouraged to participate in the awareness drive by sharing messages on social media platform X at 8 PM using the hashtag #GoGold, highlighting support for childhood cancer patients.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer stated that the league is committed not only to competitive cricket but also to using its platform for meaningful social causes. He said the initiative reflects solidarity with young cancer warriors and their families.
He added that beyond delivering quality cricket, the Pakistan Super League continues to serve as a platform for positive social impact and awareness campaigns that bring communities together.
