KARACHI: Prices of gold and silver continued to decline in both international and local markets amid sustained bearish sentiment.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce fell by $29 to settle at $4,685.
In the local bullion market, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs. 2,900 to reach Rs. 490,862, while the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs. 2,486 to Rs 420,835.
Similarly, silver prices also witnessed a decline. The price of silver per tola fell by Rs. 142 to Rs. 7,957, while 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs. 122 to Rs. 6,821.
Earlier, Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant decline, with the price of one tola falling by Rs. 5,200.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola has dropped to Rs. 493,762 following the decrease.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold declined by Rs. 4,458, bringing it down to Rs. 423, 321 in the local market.
Silver prices also witnessed a decline, with per tola rates falling by Rs. 225 to Rs. 8,099. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs. 193, reaching Rs. 6,943.
