Lahore triumph over Quetta in nail-biting PSL encounter

LAHORE:  In an exciting Pakistan Super League (PSL) match, Lahore Qalandars secured a narrow 9-run victory over Quetta Gladiators to earn two crucial points.

At the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and opted to bat first. They posted a strong total of 197 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Fakhar Zaman played a brilliant innings, scoring 103 runs off 51 balls. Charith Asalanka contributed 31 runs, while Daniel Sams added 18 runs. For Quetta Gladiators, Khaleel Ahmed took two wickets.

Chasing 198, Quetta Gladiators managed 188 for 7 in 20 overs despite solid batting performances from Shamyl Hussain, who scored 53, and Rilee Rossouw, who made 62 runs.

For Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf claimed two wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Ubaid Shah, Sikandar Raza, and Usama Mir picked up one wicket each.
