
The exercise included participation from Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group and Egypt’s Special Forces units.
Pakistan and Egypt’s joint counterterrorism exercise “Thunder 2” has been successfully completed.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two-week exercise was held in Cherat. Its objective was to enhance modern counterterrorism drills, procedures, and technical skills, as well as to promote professional cooperation between the two countries.
The exercise included participation from Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group and Egypt’s Special Forces units.
During the exercise, personnel from both countries demonstrated high levels of professionalism and combat capability in various operational activities.
According to ISPR, joint training programs like “Thunder 2” play an important role in strengthening cooperation in the field of counterterrorism across the region.
