Lainey Wilson is all hearts for her fiance, who reportedly proved to be a rock for her.
While speaking on her new documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, she admitted that she might not have navigated the presseure of the last few years, during which she rose to fame, without his support.
“I would come home off the road, I was so tired, and he was the only one who would see it, but I’d be crying and packing my bags again. He got to see behind the curtain.”
For those unversed, Lainey and the former NFL player began dating in 2021 and they got engaged in early 2025.
As a former professional athlete, Wilson aslo addressed that Hodges understands the “all-in” mentality required for elite success.
“He also knew how much went into doing this and how much that I have dedicated my life to it.”
She also conveyed that domestic stability is more valuable to her than any trophy.
“He adds so much to my life, I’m like, ‘Why wouldn’t I wanna spend the rest of my life with my best friend?’ Somebody who lifts me up and encourages me and shoots me straight, who cooks potato soup for me.”
In conclusion, she said, “This is making it. I just did not know that this was gonna be a part of the ‘making it.’”
