Iran warns of “Bitter Defeats” for enemies as navy stands ready

TEHRAN: Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has said in a social media statement that Iran’s navy is fully prepared to deliver “new and bitter defeats” to its adversaries, adding that Iranian forces must remain firm against US plans and that attempts to destabilize Iran have already been defeated.

He further claimed that efforts to break up Iran have failed, reinforcing a defiant stance from Tehran amid rising regional tensions.

According to Tasnim News Agency, Iran has not agreed to proceed with the next round of negotiations with the United States, though this claim has not been independently verified.

Iranian lawmaker Ebrahim Azizi reportedly warned that developments in the Strait of Hormuz have returned to their “previous position,” using strong language about maritime tensions.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations claimed that an oil tanker was fired upon in the Strait of Hormuz, alleging that two vessels linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps opened fire on the ship.

In a separate development, Al Jazeera reported renewed Israeli military action in southern Lebanon, including shelling of towns such as Bint Jbeil, Qantara, and Toul.

The reports also said that several homes in southern Lebanon were destroyed as a result of continued Israeli strikes, further intensifying regional instability.
