
MULTAN: Multan Sultans have temporarily released opening batter Sahibzada Farhan and batting coach Sohaib Maqsood for a few days.
According to a team spokesperson, players are allowed to rest or spend personal time during the break period.
The spokesperson added that under the policy of team owner Ghor Shah and head coach Tim Paine, players are given complete freedom during rest days.
It is worth mentioning that Multan Sultans will face Peshawar Zalmi in their next Pakistan Super League match on April 13.
Meanwhile, Fast bowler Mir Hamza Sajjad has rejoined the Islamabad United squad after recovering from a head injury sustained during practice.
According to the team spokesperson, the player returned after receiving full medical clearance from the hospital. He had briefly lost consciousness after being struck on the head by a ball.
The spokesperson said the Islamabad United medical staff provided immediate first aid before shifting him to the hospital. Mir Hamza regained consciousness in the ambulance and was able to communicate with the medical team.
At the hospital, he underwent a CT scan and remained under observation overnight. Doctors discharged him after thorough examination and satisfactory reports. He has now returned to the team hotel, where he remains under continuous monitoring by the medical staff.
The franchise expressed gratitude to the medical panel, other teams, and fans for their concern and prayers, reaffirming that the player’s health and safety remain their top priority.
