Zendaya addresses long-standing marriage rumours with Tom Holland

Zendaya discusses privacy and boundaries amid ongoing speculation about the status of her relationship with Holland
Zendaya has addressed ongoing speculation surrounding her relationship with Tom Holland, explaining why she has chosen not to confirm or deny reports of a possible marriage.
Speaking on The New York Times’ Modern Love podcast while promoting her film The Drama, the actress acknowledged public curiosity but emphasised the importance of maintaining personal boundaries. Rumours about a secret wedding have circulated in recent weeks, fuelled in part by claims from her stylist and her appearance wearing what appears to be a wedding band.
“I just feel like for me there is a level of a parasocial investment in my personal relationship, which I understand,” Zendaya said. “I’m aware that I’m a public person and so is he, and I’m also aware that we’ve grown up in front of people and we’ve done movies where we fall in love with each other, so I really do understand that, and I don’t want to dismiss that like, ‘Stay out of my business’ or whatever.”
Despite recognising the public interest, she reiterated her preference for privacy. “In a lot of ways, I’m also a very private person and I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well,” she explained.
Zendaya added that while she and Holland are not attempting to conceal their relationship, they are focused on protecting meaningful aspects of their lives. “I hear it, but I also [have] my own little boundaries of what I like to bring up and talk about, but then also what I’m also willing to share, you know?” she said. “I just try to find the balance in the middle there.”
In a separate interview, she further reflected on the challenges of balancing public visibility with personal space, noting that preserving private moments is key to maintaining a sense of normality and joy.
