PM Shahbaz, Saudi Crown Prince discuss regional security

The discussion focused on the current regional situation, international security, and rising military tensions.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a key phone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on Wednesday. 

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif extended warm Eid ul-Fitr greetings to the Saudi leadership and strongly condemned recent attacks in Saudi Arabia, assuring full Pakistani support and solidarity.

He emphasized that Pakistan will always stand by the Kingdom and its people, just as Saudi Arabia has historically supported Pakistan.

The Prime Minister urged an immediate end to hostilities and stressed the importance of restoring normalcy in the region. He highlighted the need for unity and coordination among Muslim nations and briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions through dialogue and negotiations.

 

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed Pakistan’s peace initiatives, and both leaders agreed to maintain close contact and cooperation at all levels.

Separately, the Crown Prince also spoke with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, reviewing the regional military tensions and their impact on global economy and international navigation.

The British Prime Minister condemned Iranian attacks on Saudi territory, calling them a serious threat to regional security and stability.
