Prayer timings announced for Karachi

Authorities have released prayer timings across the city to facilitate citizens in offering Eid prayers.

KARACHI: The Karachi city will join the rest of Pakistan in celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday, March 21, following the announcement by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Authorities have released prayer timings across the city to facilitate citizens in offering Eid prayers.

In major residential and commercial areas such as Gulshan-e-Iqbal, North Karachi, Clifton, Korangi, Malir, and Lyari, the first Eid prayer will be held between 6:45 AM and 7:30 AM.

The main congregational prayers in most mosques are scheduled between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM, which is the most common timing across the city.

In larger mosques and Eidgahs, multiple sessions will accommodate larger crowds, with prayers continuing up to 8:30 AM and, in some locations, between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

Special arrangements and strict security measures have been implemented across mosques and Eidgahs in Karachi to ensure the safety and convenience of worshippers.
