KARACHI: The Karachi city witnessed another day of sudden weather changes, as strong winds, thunderstorms, and heavy rainfall disrupted daily life across the city.
Rain accompanied by thunder was reported in areas including Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, North Karachi, and New Karachi, while heavy downpours in Saddar led to water accumulation on roads.

The sudden rain created chaos in markets, particularly as citizens were busy with Eid shopping. Panic spread among shoppers, while shopkeepers and customers faced significant difficulties in several areas.
Strong winds also led to reports of signboards and other objects falling at multiple locations, prompting authorities to urge citizens to exercise caution.
It is worth noting that the previous day’s storm resulted in 19 fatalities across the city.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, more rain and strong winds are expected in the coming hours, and citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel.
