
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a new western weather system is expected to bring pleasant weather conditions and possible rainfall in parts of the country, including Karachi, around the time of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The PMD stated that western winds are likely to start affecting the southern parts of the country from March 16 which may result in rainfall in several areas of Sindh including Karachi. Under the influence of this system, rain is expected between March 17 and March 21.
According to the department, the minimum temperature recorded in the city today was 20°C while the maximum temperature is expected to reach up to 38°C. The humidity level was recorded at 79 percent.
At present, northwesterly winds are blowing in the city at a speed of about 3 kilometres per hour. The PMD added that the weather today will remain hot and dry, and no rainfall is expected in the city during the next 24 hours.
