Margot Robbie unveiled a new hairstyle while attending the Chanel autumn/winter 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week, debuting a shorter cut that quickly drew attention from fashion observers.
The actor appeared in the front row with a newly styled bob and piecey bangs, marking a notable change from the longer blonde hair she wore during recent public appearances. The updated look places Robbie among a growing number of celebrities embracing shorter haircuts in recent seasons.
In recent months, Robbie’s hair had become a talking point throughout the press tour for Wuthering Heights. Her previous style featured long, soft blonde hair often worn in loose waves, a look reminiscent of the character Cathy in the film.
For the Chanel event, however, Robbie opted for a shorter “lob”, a hairstyle that falls between the chin and the clavicle. The cut was created by hairstylist Cervando Maldonado and paired with across-the-forehead bangs described as “broken”, meaning the fringe is intentionally piecey rather than blunt.
The hairstyle offers flexibility in styling and reflects a growing trend among celebrities. Similar lob cuts have recently been worn by actors including Penelope Cruz and Sienna Miller, helping cement the look as a contemporary option within fashion and beauty circles.
Speaking to Vogue, Maldonado explained the reasoning behind the style while discussing Robbie’s appearance at the show.
“The bob and fringe is a modern look for spring,” Maldonado said. “It leads the way into summer with an effortless style. The length is versatile and easy to pull back and create different styles if needed.”
Robbie previously experimented with a bob haircut in 2024, when it was styled into a sleek, tucked-in shape. The new variation, featuring the softer lob length and textured bangs, offers a more relaxed interpretation of the classic cut.
The transformation arrives as Paris Fashion Week continues to showcase major fashion houses and celebrity appearances, with front-row style moments often setting the tone for upcoming beauty and fashion trends.
