Neve Campbell shares new details about ‘Scream 7’ ahead of release

The actress discussed the upcoming instalment and reflected on the long-running horror series with Jimmy Fallon
Neve Campbell has revealed new details about Scream 7 as she prepares to return to the franchise as Sidney Prescott.
The Canadian actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she discussed the upcoming instalment and reflected on the long-running horror series. Campbell confirmed that the familiar tension remains central to the film, noting that in every entry, “someone’s got to go at some point”.
When asked whether she always knows the identity of the killer during filming, Campbell said she typically does. “Because I am often carrying it,” she explained, adding that “there are cast in it who don’t know.” She told Fallon: “These are classic whodunit and you don’t want to know who has done it.”
Campbell also outlined three rules she has learned for surviving a horror film. “Don’t have sex,” she said, followed by “don’t drink or do drugs,” and finally, “Never say, ‘I will be right back’”. She added further practical advice, suggesting people should always know “where the knives are in the house” and perhaps “take the chip out of your mobile phones”.
Discussing her character’s evolution, Campbell described Sidney as taking on a more protective role in the new film. She said Sidney is like a “mama bear” as she looks out for her teenage daughter, played by Isabel May.
Scream 7 is scheduled for release in cinemas on February 27.
