Donald Trump praises Nicki Minaj’s beauty during White House Black History Month reception

Speculation around Minaj’s political stance has intensified amid growing ties to the Trump administration
Donald Trump praised Nicki Minaj during the White House Black History Month reception on Wednesday, revisiting their recent meeting at the Trump Accounts Summit and highlighting his admiration for the rapper.
“I love Nicki Minaj. She was here a couple of weeks ago. So beautiful. Her skin so beautiful,” Trump said at the event.
Trump: “Do we love Nicki Minaj? She was here a couple of weeks ago. So beautiful. Her skin so beautiful. I said, ‘Nicki, so beautiful.’ Her nails, her nails they’re like that long. I said, ‘Nicki, are they real?’ She said she didn’t want to get into that.” pic.twitter.com/2KUmJsJ7d1

The US president, who has previously commented on Minaj’s distinctive style, added, “Her nails, her nails, they’re like that long. I said, ‘Nicki, are they real?’ She said she didn’t want to get into that, but she was so beautiful and so great.”
Earlier this year, Trump was pictured walking hand-in-hand with Minaj at the Trump Accounts Summit. During that appearance, he said, “I am going to let my nails grow because I love those nails,” and referred to her as “the greatest and most successful female rapper in history.”
Minaj marked Presidents Day by sharing AI-generated images of herself and Trump wearing coordinated pink outfits. “Happy Presidents Day,” she captioned the post, which quickly gained traction on social media.
Speculation around Minaj’s political stance has intensified in recent months as her ties to the Trump administration have grown. In November 2025, she addressed a United Nations conference, speaking about what she characterised as the persecution of Christians in Nigeria and thanking Trump for “his leadership on the global stage.”
In December, Minaj appeared at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, where she spoke with Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, expressing her “utmost respect” for the commander in chief.
In late January, she attended the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, DC, declaring she is “the president’s No. 1 fan” and that it is “not going to change.” She was also photographed briefly holding hands with the president.
