Karachi temperature rises as cold spell grips nationwide

Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi is witnessing a steady uptick in both daytime and nighttime temperatures, signaling a subtle seasonal shift in the city’s weather pattern.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 15.2°C, while the mercury is projected to soar between 27°C and 30°C later in the day. Humidity levels remain elevated at 74 percent, intensifying the lingering morning chill.

A blanket of fog has draped parts of the metropolis, restricting visibility to nearly 4 kilometers and creating hazy conditions during early hours.

Nationwide weather update:

On the national front, the PMD forecasts that a widespread cold and dry weather system will dominate most regions of the country.

In the northern and hilly areas, partly cloudy skies are expected to prevail, with intense cold gripping the region during the night and early morning hours.

Meanwhile, Islamabad and its adjoining areas are likely to experience crisp, dry, and chilly conditions throughout the day.
