Citizens who have always wanted a unique and attractive vehicle number can now get it from home after new updates. The auction for fancy vehicle numbers has officially started, allowing people to secure their preferred numbers without visiting any office.
The registration process is now open through the e-Auction mobile app and web portal, and interested participants can apply until 2nd March.
This initiative has been introduced by the Punjab Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department in partnership with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), which developed the digital platform to make the process easier and more modern.
Citizens can register online and take part in bidding for motorcycle, car, and commercial vehicle numbers. The entire system is digital, quick, and transparent, making the process simple and convenient for everyone.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousuf described the initiative as an important step towards replacing traditional auctions with a technology-based system.
He said the platform shows PITB’s commitment to improving public services through digital solutions and making it easier for people to obtain fancy vehicle numbers. Participants can place bids online, while information about successful bidders is available on both the app and the web portal to ensure transparency. Citizens are encouraged to complete their registration before 2nd March to secure their desired vehicle number from home.
