‘Major structural reforms’: PCB announces new player auction model for 11th edition of HBL PSL

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Monday that it would be moving to a player auction model ahead of the 11th edition of PSL in a major structural reform, according to a press release.

“The HBL Pakistan Super League is entering a new chapter with HBL PSL 11 shifting to a Player Auction Model,” the PSL’s official account posted on X.

The new model will replace the traditional player draft system, it added.

The Pakistan Cricket Board called it a “new era” in a post on X.
